Billing and payments: what to expect this year

The Veracross family portal allows you to view and pay tuition and other charges online. You can access the family portal at portals.veracross.com/lakeside. To view your monthly billing statement or make a payment online, click the “my invoices” button on the right-hand side of the page.

All school-related costs are billed to your household account. Tuition, laptop, music lessons, and bus charges are billed according to the payment plan you pick when enrolling or signing up for services. All other charges are billed monthly. Some examples are tutoring, breakfast and snack purchases, club travel, athletics dues, etc. Please refer to the family handbook (on the parents and guardians webpage) for details of charges that may be billed to your account.

Monthly charges are posted to household accounts by the 10th day of the following month. The business office will email you an alert that your bill is ready to pay. Payments are due by the 25th of the month. You have three options for paying Lakeside bills; for security reasons, we prefer you use option 1 or option 2. We do not accept cash payments.

  • ACH Auto Pay: This is an automatic withdrawal from your bank account that you authorize in advance. On the 25th of each month, we will draw the amount due that month. We will resume auto pay for households that have already signed up for the service. To enroll in auto pay, please complete the ACH Auto Pay Form and return the form to the business office via email or mail.
  • Veracross Checkout: One-time payments can be made online through the Veracross family portal. The “VCPay Wallet” allows families to save payment options for future use.
    • One-time ACH Payment: Families can pay via “e-check” from a checking or savings account. There is no fee for using this option.
    • Debit/Credit Card Payments: Families that elect to use this payment method will be required to pay the card fees associated with their transaction.
  • Check/Cashier’s Check/Money Order: While not as secure as options 1 and 2, we still accept checks, cashier’s checks, and money orders for monthly charges. Please be sure to note the household ID number (found on the top of your statement) on the check and mail it to the Lakeside School business office on the Upper School campus, 14050 1st Avenue NE, Seattle, WA 98125-3099.
