Lion Link replaces the previous Lakeside Alum App. If you were a user of the Alum App, please delete that from your phone and join Lion Link. Lakeside has made the move to Lion Link because it provides improved networking functionality, additional features (like a job board!), and a better user experience.

Any Lakeside or St. Nicholas alums, as well as current Lakeside faculty and staff. Your information is protected and only fellow alumni have access. Please remember that this platform is only for members of the Lakeside and St. Nicholas alum community. The sharing of information outside of the alum network is prohibited.

Lion Link is an online platform intended to help alums from various class years and fields connect with one another. You can use the platform to tap into the professional expertise of Lakeside and St. Nicholas alums across various industries and locations. Whether you’re moving to a new city or looking for your next career step, Lion Link can help facilitate your new connections.

Your privacy is important to us. You can choose what information to share in your profile.

Lion Link is managed by the Lakeside School alum office, on a platform created and supported by Graduway. The platform is used by more than 350 colleges, universities, and independent schools around the world.

You can delete your account in settings.

You can sign up for Lion Link by visiting lakesideschoolalumni.com or by downloading the app, available in the App Store or Google Play store. When you open the app for the first time it will ask for your institution, search for “Lakeside School.”

You can sign up with your email address or log in with your LinkedIn, Google, or Facebook account.

If using an email and password, you will need to verify your email. Head over to your inbox to find a confirmation email. Simply click on the confirmation link and return to the app to proceed.

If you select LinkedIn/Google/Facebook, you'll be redirected to enter your username and password. If your account email matches the email address that the Lakeside alumni office has on file, you will be able to access Lion Link immediately. If not, the administrators will review your request and may ask for additional information to confirm your identity.

Please sign up using your primary email. This will ensure you receive all necessary communications regarding the app and login process.

Like most online platforms, you will set a unique username/email and password to access the community. Whether you create a new set of credentials or log in using LinkedIn, only one email can be used to access the community.

Your information security is important to us. If the email address you use to log in is not found in Lakeside's database, we will have an administrator confirm your identity using the information you provided. After your identity is confirmed, you will immediately gain access to Lion Link.

Lion Link allows you to connect and network with other Lakesiders using LinkedIn. Being connected via LinkedIn prepopulates relevant career and education information into your Lion Link profile.

You can log in using your LinkedIn credentials, which will automatically connect your LinkedIn account information to your profile. However, if you choose to authenticate using a different email and password, you can still connect your LinkedIn account via settings.

In the app, you can access settings by clicking on the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen, then on the arrow next to your picture. In the web version, you can access settings by clicking on the arrow next to your picture in the top right corner.

In the app, you can log out by clicking on the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen, then on the arrow next to your picture and select “sign out.” In the web version, you can log out by clicking on the arrow next to your picture in the top right corner and select “sign out.”

Unless otherwise indicated, your primary contact information will be visible in the app; this includes your name, address, phone number, and email. If you wish to customize your settings so that particular information will not be visible to other alums, click on “edit profile.” In the app, you can find this by clicking on the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen, then on the arrow next to your picture. In the web version, you can find it by clicking on the arrow next to your picture in the top right corner.

When you sign up for Lion Link, you gain insights and connections that can help you advance your personal and professional goals. It also allows more seasoned professionals the opportunity to share their insights and experiences with fellow alumni interested in learning about their industry. Lion Link is not intended as a job placement service but is offered as a tool for alums seeking advice and mentorship. When you reach out to a fellow alums, be upfront about what you hope to give and gain. You will be asked how you are willing to help or how you would like to be helped when you sign up for Lion Link.

There is no minimum commitment and we hope that both the mentor and mentee are clear about their time expectations from the beginning. Mentors share their insight and experiences with mentees who are new to or thinking about a career in the mentor’s field.

To perform a search in the directory, type a name, company name, industry or other search term next to the magnifying glass in the search field. You can search by name and/or filter by other useful fields like year of graduation, location, job function, etc. The “Filter People By” feature is located on the right had side of the page in the directory section of the web platform. To access this feature in the app, click on the three line upside down triangle on the right side of the search field in the directory.

All Lion Link users are encouraged to post job openings at their company to the job board. To post an opening, click on "Jobs" in the left navigation bar, then on "Post a Job." Fill in company and job title, copy and paste the job description, then choose "through your site" under how candidates should apply and include the link to the job posting. When the online job posting is deleted, the job is automatically removed from the Lion Link job board.

Groups allow alums a place to connect around a shared industry or location. Post industry or location specific questions to the feed, invite others to events, etc.

Some groups are set up to automatically enroll new Lion Link users who fit the group criteria. For example, users who live in the Bay Area will automatically join the “Bay Area Alum” group. Alumni who select banking, financial services, investment banking, or investment management will automatically join the “Alums in Finance” group.

To remove yourself from a group, go into that group, click on the arrow next to “joined” under the banner photo, and select “exit group.”
