March 22: TEDx LakesideSchoolYouth

On March 22 from 3:30-6 p.m., Lakeside students will host a TEDx event on campus in St. Nicholas Hall. TEDx events are officially licensed, independently run events through TED, so the talks will eventually appear on TED’s official YouTube channel and website. The organizing team (Siddhi T. ’27, Owen X. ’26, Vivian T. ’27, Sophia Z. ’27, with assistance from school counselor Tori Force) have been busy putting together a great event with inspiring student speakers.

As this will be a small, intimate event, the link for in-person tickets will be emailed to students and employees. For those who can't join in person, the event will also be livestreamed. Watch the livestream through this link.

Student speakers will include:

  • Aditya D. ’27: “The Power of Being Lopsided”
  • Matt K. ’26: “Why We Shouldn’t Be Like Batman: America’s Loneliness Epidemic”
  • Simone T. ’26: “Love & Loss”
  • Deniz I. ’28: “The Fictional Flag Uniting Real-life Protests”
  • Mireya W. ’29: “Life Under the Bar: Rethinking Self-Worth”
  • Sienna O. ’27: “My Friend Frank”
  • Kellen H. ’26: “The Crack in AI Safety”
  • Alex L. ’27: “I’m Building a House in my Backyard”
