Clear, timely communication is at the heart of how Lakeside partners with families. Here’s how we will send out information to parents and guardians, keeping you informed and connected.

Official newsletters: Inside Lakeside, Pawprint, and grade-level deans

• All parents and guardians receive Inside Lakeside, a monthly divisional (Middle School and Upper School) email newsletter. Each issue is sent a few days before the beginning of each month. These emails contain important information about upcoming events and deadlines, as well as administrators writing about campus happenings, educational trends, and other important news. Articles from Inside Lakeside are posted on the parents and guardians webpage.
• A “Reminders and Updates” edition of the Upper School Inside Lakeside goes out mid-month with reminders about dates and timely updates.
• Middle School grade-level deans send weekly email roundups of key dates and announcements for each grade.
• Lakeside’s Parents and Guardians Association (PGA) sends monthly Pawprint email newsletters focused on PGA news, events, and volunteering opportunities.

Emergency alerts from Titan HST

Lakeside will send timely emails, texts, and push notifications to families in the event of an emergency or weather closure. Opt-in to receive Lakeside emergency alerts by updating your family's contact information in Veracross.

Grade-specific emails

Division- and grade-specific information from the school is often emailed to parents and guardians using the Veracross email system. In addition to landing in your inbox, these emails can be found on the Veracross family portal. On the Veracross family portal homepage, view “Messages” on the top navigation bar. 

Make sure important school emails arrive in your inbox

Lakeside uses two different systems to send bulk emails: Finalsite Messages (for newsletters such as Inside Lakeside and Pawprint), and Veracross (for single-topic school-specific information). Please do the following to ensure that important information from the school is delivered to your inbox (and not your clutter or junk mail).

1. Add the address info@lakesideschool.site to your address book. 
2. Check your clutter or junk folders for emails from the school. Move those emails into your inbox or mark them as not-spam.

If you can’t find a particular email, there are two places to check online for the information:

• Lakeside’s parents and guardians webpage. All articles that are part of the Inside Lakeside email newsletters appear on this page or, if they are older, in the news archive.
• Emails sent by administrators and teachers can be found on the Veracross family portal. To view those emails, log in to Veracross. On the Veracross family portal homepage, view “Messages” on the top navigation bar.
