In the loop: how to stay up-to-date with life at Lakeside

Lakeside’s communications philosophy is in line with the school’s mission to “lead students to take responsibility for learning.” What that means in practice is that — particularly in the Upper School — school-related information and instructions are often sent directly to students. Additionally, Lakeside School provides parents and guardians with a variety of ways to learn what is happening at the school.

Parents and guardians webpage

We highly recommend you bookmark the webpage lakesideschool.org/parentsguardians. It’s designed to be a one-stop resource, with useful news and announcements; quick links to the calendar, the directory, billing, and the Parents and Guardians Association; school resources; contacts; social media; and more. Find directions on how to search for family information in the online directory here

Our website can be translated into some of the most common languages spoken by Lakeside families; translation can be turned on by clicking the flag icon in the lower right corner of your screen while navigating Lakeside’s website. Are we missing a language that would be helpful to your family? Email info@lakesideschool.site with suggestions.

For your privacy, the parents and guardians webpage is located behind a password. Families are able to access the webpage using their already-established login information for Veracross.

Social media

Lakeside maintains feeds on Facebook, Instagram, and Vimeo (for video content). There are also feeds for Lakeside Athletics and each sport. If you use social media, we encourage you to follow us! It’s a great way to see pictures from the school day and get a sense of the student experience. If you are not a social media user, don’t worry: No critical information is shared exclusively on social media, and the main feeds can be viewed on the parents and guardians webpage.

Lakeside magazine

Our twice-yearly print magazine is focused on alums but is also sent to parents and guardians. The winter issue is released in December, and the summer issue is released in July. You can also find it online on the Lakeside magazine webpage.
